About This Game

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a life simulation from Nintendo, released March 20, 2020. You leave for a deserted island with a tent and a shop in a suitcase. There is no boss at the end of the beach. The job is to live there: catch bugs, pull weeds, place a chair where the sunset hits, and decide whether the river should bend.

Time follows the real clock. Morning and night feel different. Neighbors move in — animals with routines, letters, and opinions about your terraforming. You unlock a shop, a museum, and tools that reshape cliffs and water. Multiplayer lets friends walk your island and leave through the airport, but the island is still yours when they go.

That daily loop is the whole game. You do not win. You come back tomorrow because the shop changed and a neighbor crafted something ugly on your lawn. Credits are Nintendo on both sides of the box. The pleasure is small and stubborn: a path, a house, a festival.
